Elqui Valley Elqui is an arid region. The vineyards in this region have known how to seek out greenness in the mountains. The vines grow in extremely rustic soils that are a perfect environment for developing.

Limarí and Choapa Valley The region’s topography is responsible for the presence of the fog called the “Camanchaca” that carries moisture to the valley every morning and then vanishes while cooling the native soils with an ocean breeze in the afternoon. The Limarí Valley is well-known in Chile for the presence of calcareous soils and its excellent potential for the production of wines. Casablanca Valley Casablanca, the trailblazing cold-climate wine-producing region of Chile, is known for the marine influence of the Pacific Ocean that cools off its climate, the morning fog that settles into the valley, and the old, granite-clay soils that create a rich tapestry of terroir. All these factors play a part in making this valley one of the main producers of white wine in Chile.

Maipo Valley Its vines are privileged with a mild Mediterranean climate with dry, warm summers and cold, wet winters. The region features easterly vineyards located in the foothills of the Andes and westerly vineyards that reach the sandy soils of the Coastal Mountains.

Cachapoal Valley The valley features diverse microclimates that produce a suitable environment for a wide array of wines, ranging from cold-climate varieties in the vineyards at higher altitudes in the foothills of the Andes, to varieties requiring warmer climates in the areas surrounding Lake Rapel along the coastal hills. Here in this valley, the gentle breezes from the Pacific Ocean and the clay soil create synergy to pave the way for one of the leading regions producing Carménère in the country.

Colchagua Valley Located in the southern half of the Rapel Valley. The relatively low altitude of the coastal hills allows the Pacific breeze to mingle with the Andean winds, which cools the valley and prolongs the maturation period of the region. This is advantageous for the preservation of acidity in the grapes, and helps to generate red wines with excellent coloring, great freshness, and very good keeping qualities.

Curicó Valley The Curicó Valley boasts a viticulture tradition that dates back to the 19th century. To this day, it still has centennial vineyards and is one of the most revered, diverse, and largest winemaking areas in Chile. The region features a broad diversity of volcanic and alluvial soils, with loamy and clay textures, and with different contents and levels of moisture retention. This also makes it possible to choose the most suitable soil condition for each variety and thus fulfill their maximum potential. The Mediterranean climate, with warm days, an appropriate solar irradiation, and cold nights, provides the necessary temperature range for obtaining quality grapes.

Maule Valley The largest wine-producing region in Chile is also one of the most diverse, both in terms of geography and climate. This valley displays a Mediterranean climate and great influence from the cool wind that sweeps down from the Andes Mountains at night, increasing the daily temperature variation and shortening the period of maximum temperatures, and thus helping the fruit ripen slowly and under good conditions. Maule is also home to some of the country’s oldest vineyards, a rainfed, head-trained viticulture, and an excellent region for finding the exceptional Carignane.

Itata Valley With over 500 years of history, is one of the country’s oldest wine-growing regions. It features a humid Mediterranean climate, with lower temperatures than in other valleys, and with very distinct seasons, clay and granite soils rich in minerals that enable great productivity and facilitate growth of traditional varieties such as Pais and Muscat of Alexandria, which predominate in the region.
